The CSI approach to authorizing charter schools balances autonomy and accountability. CSI offers its schools the flexibility to choose the educational models and methods that best meet the unique needs of their students and communities and holds its schools accountable to clear expectations for academic, financial, and organizational performance.
The CSI Annual Review of Schools (CARS) is used to evaluate and accredit CSI charter schools annually based on academic, financial, and organizational performance. For more information on what charter school accountability looks like for CSI schools, the measures CSI uses to evaluate school performance, and the types of supports CSI offers its schools, see our one pagers.
The CARS Dashboard is an interactive tool to access CARS academic data. This dashboard allows users to filter, highlight, and compare schools in their geographic district. Data can be viewed at the district, school, grade, and subgroup levels.
