Partnership Authorization
CSI welcomes collaboration with its district authorizer peers. CSI has provided direct support to 8+ Colorado school district authorizers and counting through partnership authorization initiatives. CSI seeks to collaborate with numerous organizations and engage in best practice sharing with its district-authorizing peers. CSI seeks to partner with districts to improve student outcomes through quality authorizing. Services can be tailored to meet the unique needs of partnering districts.
Authorizer Development
Whether it be new school application review, annual school evaluations, or consideration of compliance monitoring processes, CSI can support the development of, and facilitate training on, authorization practices.
Performance Management
Using strong predictors of charter school viability and sustainability, CSI can support the district in evaluating a charter school’s academic, financial, and organizational performance.
Charter Development & Renewal
On behalf of the school district, CSI can conduct a comprehensive application review that follows a consistent and transparent process and adheres to rigorous standards of evaluation.
Complete Authorization
While continuing to retain exclusive chartering authority, school districts can elect to release prospective applicants and existing charter schools to apply directly to CSI for authorization.

CSI staff members regularly present and share best practices at state and national conferences, including the National Association of Charter School Authorizers (NACSA) conference, the National Alliance of Charter Schools conference, the Colorado League of Charter Schools conference, and many more.
