Every year, CSI reviews the academic, financial, and organizational performance of its charter public schools through the CSI Annual Review of Schools (CARS). This process results in an accreditation rating for each school, helping to ensure that families understand how their schools are performing.
A Clear and Consistent Accreditation Process
The CSI Annual Review of Schools (CARS) is used to evaluate and accredit CSI charter schools based on academic, financial, and organizational performance from the previous year. CSI employs a thorough accreditation process that assigns a performance rating to each school each fall.
CSI’s performance framework ratings align with the state framework but goes a step further by adding the “Performance with Distinction” rating, highlighting the highest-performing schools in the state.

This Year’s Results
Nine CSI schools earned a Performance with Distinction rating for the 2024–25 school year. These schools represent a wide range of communities, missions, and educational models across the state.
