CSI’s 2026–2029 Strategic Plan is the product of a deliberate, multi-stage engagement process that brought together the CSI Board, leadership team, staff, and school leaders over several months. The process was facilitated by the National Charter Schools Institute (NCSI).

Our Values
CSI’s values define how we carry out our mission and make decisions in service of students, schools, and the public trust. CSI’s strategic plan is grounded in a clear theory of action: when CSI authorizes with excellence, expands access to high-quality and innovative schools, and removes barriers to school success, more students are positioned to achieve stronger outcomes.
The following four goals define CSI’s strategic priorities for 2026–2029. Together, they reflect our commitment to high-quality authorizing, strong student outcomes, innovation, and the conditions that enable schools to succeed.
