My name is Lora Bonney, I am a Special Education Coordinator for CSI charter schools in Colorado Springs, Salida, Aurora, and Centennial. I support schools assigned to me by providing oversight of special education programs and professional development for staff serving our students identified as meeting eligibility criteria for special education services.   I joined CSI in the summer of 2024. Prior to my work with CSI, I served in the following positions in California, New Mexico, and Colorado:  an assistant director of special education, a special education coordinator, a section 504 coordinator, a special education instructional leader, a special education teacher and a college instructor.  I am licensed as a special education director and K-12 Principal in Colorado. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science and a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Special Education from San Jose State University.

I am a dedicated and results-driven special education leader with extensive experience in enhancing educational outcomes for students with special needs.  My goal is to create supportive, inclusive educational environments in charter schools supported by CSI where every student can thrive.
