My name is Kim Caplan and I’m the Director of Professional Learning & School Programs. I support CSI schools in developing and strengthening a variety of programs to improve outcomes for all students. My primary areas of focus are gifted education, educator qualifications, and teacher/principal induction programs. I joined the CSI Team in August 2015 eager to continue my work to provide high quality educational options for students and families. My prior experience in education includes teaching middle school science, serving as principal of an alternative high school and managing a division of 18 charter schools in Colorado, Arizona and Ohio. I am currently licensed as a principal and teacher with endorsements in secondary science and gifted education. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Master’s Degree in Teaching from the University of Virginia.
