Brian Printz

Coordinator for Special Education, Section 504, and School Health/Nursing

My name is Brian Printz and I joined the CSI team in August of 2019 as a part-time Special Education Coordinator. I enjoy working at CSI to increase parental choice options for all students, including those from diverse backgrounds and those with special needs.  My specific role within our team of coordinators has continued to evolve to my current focus on providing guidance, training, and coaching to our portfolio of schools around 504, school nursing, and special education.

I earned an MA and PhD in Educational and School Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and completed coursework leading to licensure as a special education director through the University of Denver. I received my BA degree in education from St. Olaf College in Minnesota. I worked as a school psychologist in Texas and Colorado but spent most of my career as a Director of Special Education for Colorado school districts, a BOCES, and a residential treatment facility. My experience has extended to rural, urban, and suburban settings.

Overall, I work with our Director of Special Education and the rest of the CSI team to continually enhance student access to our charter schools and improve the quality of programming for our students with special needs.
