The Colorado General Assembly created the
Assistance Fund to assist Institute Charter Schools with the following in the
form of interest free loans and grants:
Category 1: Matching moneys for the BEST program
Category 2: Financing repayment of moneys under
CECFA or other loan
Category 3: Other capital construction costs
Category 4: Reasonable emergency grants or loans
The Institute Board has adopted rules and policy for
the administration of the Charter School Institute Assistance Fund. An
Institute Charter School that seeks a grant or an interest-free loan may apply
for funds through the Institute’s application process.
To apply for a loan or grant in categories 1 through 3 please download the Categories
1-3 Assistance Fund Loan Application. For further guidance refer to the Categories
1-3 Assistance Fund Evaluation Guidance and Rubric. Applications for
categories 1 through 3 are accepted each year by February 28th.
To apply for a loan or grant in category 4 please
download Category 4 Assistance Fund Loan Application. For further
guidance refer to the Category 4 Assistance Fund Evaluation Guidance and
Rubric. Applications for category 4 may be submitted at any time.
