The Charter School Institute (CSI) operates as the Local Educational Agency (LEA) and Fiscal Agent for federal formula funds. These include the following programs:
- Title I, Part A Improving the Academic Achievement of the Disadvantaged
- Title II, Part A Preparing, Training, and Recruiting High Quality Teachers and Principals
- Title III, Part A English Language Acquisition, Language Enhancement, and Academic Achievement Act
Title III, Part A Immigrant Set-Aside
- Title X, Part C McKinney-Vento Act, Homeless Education
