(sponsors) with easier access to a clearinghouse of resources,
contacts, research and other practical information that will help
them with their efforts, and (2) build a self-sustaining, web-based

operators in sharing and exchanging the knowledge they gain from

in the future). Using this website, you can search for a school
based on specific criteria, view detailed information about a
school, and use an interactive map to locate schools closest to your
home. This website has plans to expand so keep an eye on it in

English and en Español) is a one-stop shop that assists
Colorado parents in locating a suitable school for their child and
provides user-friendly explanations to simplify the steps of the
open enrollment process. Site users can search among all the public
schools of the state according to the distance from a specified
address and narrowed by any one of 47 categories—including various
programs, schedules, services, and other characteristics. Designed
to empower parents to become better-informed education consumers,
the site also provides information on homeschooling, online
education, and non-public schools. The site is hosted and maintained
by the Independence Institute. |

The Hispanic
Council for Reform and Educational Options (CREO) was founded to
address the crisis in Latino education by empowering Latino families
with parental choice in education. By creating coalitions with
parents, schools, faith-based organizations, advocates and
like-minded groups, Hispanic CREO has been able to educate, inform
and mobilize Latino parents on the issues surrounding school choice. |
